What is holistic health? What really is an effective health program? Health buffs often raise these questions. Actually, both questions answer each other.
We need to be healthy in all aspects of life. This answers what is holistic health all about. It's the only effective health program there is. And it is what most health enthusiasts miss: enjoying all-around health. Only health that is holistic can be sustained over the long haul.
We can be developing muscles well and still not be healthy. We usually think an effective health program is one that reduces weight and builds muscles. The fact is, more than weight loss and bulky muscles, it is one that makes us better persons in progressive degrees the more we stick with it. Not only us enjoy the fruit of what is holistic health and an effective health program; our families do, too. That's one of the marks of quality health.
Health is often understood only in its physical aspect. We always connect it with fitness, slimming, weight loss, exercise, gyms, and supplements, among other things. But we seldom hear about its neuroplastic dimension, for instance. Or its subliminal aspect, spiritual side, and mind power realm, to name a few other aspects.
Other important aspects are emotional, financial, and social. Financial health is a real issue when talking about what is holistic health. How can you sustain a quality program without enough money to invest in it? For health to be really effective and long lasting, it has to be addressed as a whole. Thus, the term holistic health.
On Choy's Tips, we'll try to cover as many topics on what is holistic health and what is an effective health program as possible.
